Introducing Ke...Star Reporter

Hi Everyone,

I want to start by introducing myself, my name is Ke, the middle of Leukemia. I am an Irish Setter Webkinz that is going to report all the fun Leuk and Mia are having with Mama's friends and family on their travels. I am going to go everywhere Mama goes, so I will be meeting all the great people in the hospital etc. I may have a few travels, but I don't watch to go to far from Mama, some may call me a Mama's boy...oh well, I am proud to be with my Mama, she is so loving.

Even though I haven't met Leuk and Mia I hear they are having a great time on there adventures. Mia is in Canada with Karen, she got her Pawsport stamped at customs. She will be home on Monday and she is leaving for her next adventure on Weds, with Big Mama. She will be going to Naples to visit Auntie Kathy, Uncle Freddie and the cousins. She is coming home via road trip how exciting! The last time Leuk updated us he was having a great time with Barbara in Phoenix, AZ, then he was off to Hawaii and Los Angeles.

I will continue to keep you updated,

Barkingly yours,

Ke

A quick update!!

Hi everyone,

Leuk and Mia here. We have been having so much fun on our adventures. We came home for Mama's Pre-Rebirthday Party, it was so much fun seeing and meeting all her friends. She is always excited to see us when we come home. Mia returned from her world wind tour of Florida, she had such a great time with Judi. She visited places like Saks Fifth Avenue, a casino, and the beach. Judi and her even found some orange shells for Mama.

I have been home since March 2, I enjoyed my time in Naples, but it was great being home with Mama. I got to meet her doctor, Dr. Wadliegh. It was great meeting the woman that helped Mama beat cancer. Then, last Saturday Mia and I were at Mama's Pre-Rebirthday Party, we got to spend the day with Mama and all her friends and family. It was so much fun, Mia looked so pretty in her party dress and I was handsome in my cords and sweater. It was so much fun! Mia left from the party for her next adventure to Washington state and Canada, with Karen D. I got to spend a little more time with Mama. We went to Rhode Island to check out some of the mansions and Beaver Point Lighthouse, we ended the day at Dave and Buster's at the Providence Place Mall. That was so much fun because I got to play all kinds of games with Mama. We took lots of pictures for our scrapbook. I got to go to lunch with Mama on Wednesday, we went to Cactus Jack's with Maryann and Judi. That night Mama gave me to Grammy to get me ready for my next adventure with Barbara L. to Arizona, Los Angeles and Hawaii. Mama is in the hospital waiting for her stem cell transplant. Mia and I wish her the best of luck....stay strong Mama, we love you!

Hi,

Leuk here, I arrived home today after a month of being away from Mama. She couldn't open the box fast enough to see me. It is so nice being loved by Mama. On my latest travels I got to go to Montego Bay, Jamaica with Karla, Philip and Michelle. We did things like swimming, relaxing in the sun, playing games, eating good food and watching shows where Michelle would run around like crazy. I got to go everywhere with them, I was always in Michelle's diaper bag with the head peeking out so I could see all the action. The people in Jamaica were so nice , they kept saying things like "Ya Mon" and "No Problem".

From Jamaica I went to Naples, FL to visit Auntie Kathy and Uncle Freddie, I also got to see cousins Patti, George, and Larry. I had so much fun doing things like going to Mardi Gras, i was even in the parade. These "old people" sure know how to have fun! There was bead throwing and prizes our group won 2nd place. I even got to see a Red Sox game at the Minnesota Twins training camp in Fort Myers. The Sox lost but the game was fun to watch. I was having so much fun, but Mama called, she wanted me home. So far, I am having such an exciting time meeting everyone and going to great places. I am going to spend the week with Mama, she is having a party on Saturday, I get to meet all her friends.

I hear Mia is having a real good time with Judi. Mama has been getting picture mail to her phone. She tells me it is so exciting seeing her pups having such a great time. Mama helped me post this picture of Mia in the pool. We are 2 of the luckiest dogs.

Until next time,

Wet Licks,

Leuk

Wow! Here we are our own blog!

Hi, it's Leuk and Mia here. We are now part of the whole blogging scene, we even have our own email now too!

I already know our journeys are going to be so much fun, why not blog them. Our Mama is hoping this idea sweeps the nation for those suffering from disabling illness that keep us housebound and wouldn't let us to get places we couldn't see except through the eyes of others. Wouldn't it be great!

A short story about our Mama, her name is Tracy she lives in a Bow, NH, us dogs like to call it Bow Wow, NH. She is currently fighting her third bout with cancer in a 20 year time span. In 1989, she was only 15 when she found out she had Hodgkin's Disease, she was treated with both chemothearpy and radiation to beat it. Her Hodgkin's Disease resurfaced again in 2004, she was 29, because she had HD in the past they had to figure what course of treatment to use because the cancer wouldn't respond to the original form of treatment, your body builds resistance to the drugs. She beat it again in 2004. Unfortunately, October 8, 2008 she found out she had leukemia and it was probably from the first course of treatment she received in 1989. She is doing great on treatment, responding well. Next month she is going to receive a stem cell transplant, that will hopefully keep her cancer away for good!

Our Mama is one of the most creative people we know. She came up with this great idea, to have us visit with family and friends, whether they are going to their favorite restaurant, or traveling to Hawaii, we want to be there to make great memories for Mama. She wants to see the world through us while she is at home recovering from her transplant next month. During our travels our friends write in our journals and take pictures of us in great places or with great people, etc. This is going to be so much fun for Leuk and I, I can barely wait. Leuk is already on his adventures and I heard he had a great time, when Mama gets the pics I will be sure to have her upload them. I leave on my first adventure on Tuesday for a 2 1/2 week world wind tour of Florida and I may even get to stay and have my kibble on a yacht.

Leuk and I will keep you posted on all of the wonderful places we have gone to or will be going to. We look forward to getting to know everyone.

Wet licks,
Mia
